Rn semi-retired looking for meaningful caregiver job. I am available for part-time work immediately for seniors, children over the age of 3 or special needs child (over 3 yrs) or adult. I have over 30 years of medical/surgical nursing experience and a heart full of compassion waiting to be put to good use since leaving my full time hospital based job 5 years ago. The loss of a very special lady that I cared for in her home made me realize how much I can impact someones daily life. I read to her, brought newspaper articles of interest, talked current events, did some personal care, fixed fresh nutritious dinners, did laundry, housekeeping, a little gardening, and spent an occasional weekend while her family was out of town. I am also able to administer medications including insulin, help with special dietary requirements, and assist with exercises. I love what I do and put my "all" into my work. I have a unique perspective on care giving that I'd love to share with you.
