About Elizabeth

I have been working professionally in childcare since June of 2021! I was employed at The Goddard School and used to nanny full time for a family in Columbus but now I attend Miami University in Oxford full time! While I have only been employed in childcare for a short time, I have had plenty of experience in babysitting, and the daycare setting. I have four siblings with the biggest age difference of 10 years between my youngest brother and me. I have also babysat for family friends and neighbours since I was 13. I have done overnight positions with families that work in healthcare, and have created a wide variety of experience in the Columbus area. I have traveled quite a bit in my life and spent a large period of time in New Zealand with family. I love pets, reading, and writing when I have the chance to break from my studies. Babysitting is also a wonderful job to have while being a student which I wish I took more of an interest in prior to currently exploring my options.

Elizabeth and I had a great phone interview and scheduled a follow up in person. Her personality was bubbly, organized and fun. So much so that I told my kids about her and scheduled an in-person. My kids were so excited to meet her and it seemed like a great fit. She confirmed via text twice of the date/time. Her feedback after the call was so optimistic and was prepared to offer her the position. Unfortunately, she completely stood us up. My kids waited by the door for 30 minutes, no joke. No call, no message. I was legitimately concerned something happened to her. I even responded outside of just simply professional courtesy; it would be nice just to know nothing bad happened to her. One thing about care.com is that there is so much opportunity to just not know what the break down points are. It makes it really hard to trust hiring people without knowing for sure.
