Elizabeth M. worked for us for approximately 7 or 8 years caring for my husband's Aunt Dorothy. In the beginning, Dorothy was very independent with onset Dementia so we asked Elizabeth to move into Dorothy's house to care for Dorothy's basic needs (shower, clean clothes, prepare and eat meals, etc.). During that time Elizabeth consistently gave more than we asked. Elizabeth gave Dorothy pedicures, manicures, washed and set Dorothy's hair, and always made certain that Dorothy looked presentable for company or a car ride. As Dorothy's condition became more severe, Elizabeth continued to care for Dorothy. She was extremely conscientious and treated Dorothy as if Dorothy was Elizabeth's own mother. Dorothy's short term memory was gone so it became impossible for her to tell us if she was in pain or experiencing problems. Elizabeth was very in tune with Dorothy and paid close attention to the details. She always picked up on the subtle changes and new when Dorothy needed a doctor. Sometimes it was for a urinary tract infection, ear infection, even a crack in her vertebrae. Elizabeth cared for Dorothy until Dorothy's death in November. During difficult situations Elizabeth always got the job done while maintaining Dorothy's dignity. She is extremely caring, competent and loving toward people in need. I would unequivocally hire Elizabeth again if the need presented itself. Sincerely, Sandy W.
