About Elizabeth

I'd describe my personality as approachable, funny, and kind. I like tutoring because it allows me to make one-on-one connections with students, and help them boost their confidence. I'm looking for a job that allows some flexibility, and allows me to support students who may not be getting everything they need in the classroom. I have tutored on and off for the 10 years I have been a classroom teacher. In my spare time, I like to spend as much time with my family and dogs as possible! I love reading, being outside, and the occasional Netflix binge. One thing you should know about me is that I will first and foremost try to get to know your child in a nonthreatening way; they won't want to learn with me if they don't feel comfortable! My skills include: isolating specific foundational skills your child needs support with, using engaging and hands on activities, and providing enrichment to challenge your student.
