About Elizabeth

My experience with elderly care began when I was 10 and my great grandmother developed dementia. She was a holocaust survivor and therefore experienced panic attacks and delusions quite frequently. I gained experience feeding her, meal prepping, walking with her, spending one on one time with her and always trying to jog some memories with pictures, home movies, or special songs she'd enjoyed. When I was 15 I helped my mother take care of an elderly vet who was paraplegic. He needed help bathing and eating. We also found ways of getting him outside. As he could not walk, we took up boating and found any way around his disability for him to enjoy the great outdoors!
