About Elana

Hello! My name is E'Lana. I'm previous K-5 teacher, then assistant administrator at a private school, and currently a preschool teacher at Rose Island Academy. Helping children grow, learn, and create in a safe and loving atmosphere is truly my joy, as well as maintaining an organized and productive environment for them to thrive. I strongly believe consistency and positive reinforcement on each child's appropriate level is key in their development. While I have enjoyed my experiences in a classroom setting, I also know the importance and impact that teaching and learning through play can bring with a smaller group size, or one on one. I have the most experience with ages 4-6, preschool teaching and preparation for Kindergarten, but also have years of experience with Kindergarten-5th.
