About Dixie

Hello, I am almost 26 and I have been working in childcare for almost a decade I began work at age 18! I sorta stumbled upon a job at a preschool and once hired they weren't getting rid of me! I am a particularly good care giver as I have speciality training in concepts most do not. I am well versed in the teaching style of Reggio Emilia (much like Montessori ) and in both conscious discipline and positive discipline. I am specially drawn to conscious discipline as it teaches children how to emotionally regality - something that most adults have problems with ! I have a year and half of college for early childhood education but I am very good at teaching ages from a few months old to at least 10 years of age My boss who made me fall in love with this profession- use to tell me "you are a natural born caregiver" and that was always so meaningful to me as I felt I was truly seen for what I not only love to do but was meant to do.
