I use to have my own business when I lived in California several years ago. I did basic house cleaning, vacuum, mop, some laundry, dishes. Extra items require extra pay like cleaning windows, making beds, deep cleaning, outside work. I was paid a three hour minimum regardless if I worked three hours. I was paid between $18-$20 per hour. I enjoyed what I did for my clients. Being older now I'm not willing to do deep cleaning or heavy lifting any longer, but I am a good cleaner.
