About Diane

Years ago I was the caregiver for my parents. At the time I was shocked at how often I would take them to Dr appointments, chemo treatments etc and I would witness how often people were there alone with no assistance. In chatting with them I was heartbroken to find they had no one to help. I was working full time managing a travel agency with school age children. I would often joke when I retire I'm going to start a business taking care of all the people who need help. With the travel industry slowly becoming obsolete I left and and started caregiving independently. With the skills I had learned from my parents care I started working for an agency. A few months later I was recruited by a second agency and for the next 2 years worked for both. Juggling both became too much so I ended up working for just one agency the next 7 years and still continued to work privately in homes. Health reasons of my own forced me to quit personal care. I miss and am still able to provide companion care.
