I am seeking part time work. I worked for a community based non profit organization, providing person centered supports to people with developmental disabilities for 20 years. I started on the frontline, supporting 1 person in their home and community, teaching them independent living skills, social skills, and personal hygiene. I progressed to supporting 3 people in their journey after high school graduation. I supported them at work, teaching them assigned tasks along with soft skills needed for job retention. I also supported them in the community, volunteering, exercising, reading, money skills, social skills, laundry, and so many other facets of life. Eventually, I got promoted to the Director of Day Services. overseeing DH and SEMP. For the last 3. 5 years, I provided Community Habilitation for an adult with special needs and a child with autism. These opportunities helped me progress in a different direction as COVID presented unique challenges for families.
