About Dennis

Hello there I'm honored to be considered for any and all of your tutoring needs. I began my journey a few years ago when I started working as a mathematics tutor for my school, and I fell in love with teaching ever since. Helping students to better understand topics and overcome frustrating situations gives me a great sense of joy and fulfillment in my work. One of my favorite parts about the job is approaching each of my sessions with compassion and empathy: I like to take the time to ask questions and get to know my students in order to get an accurate picture of what exactly they need help with. Knowing the material is one part about being a great tutor, but it's just as important, if not more, to connect with the student's emotions and help them feel at ease. Learning is as much of a physical process as it is a mental one!
