About Delia

My name is Delia and I am a responsible mature woman, mother, and grandmother of 3. I moved from Phoenix to New York in 2016 to be closer to my family. I worked at Deer Valley School District in Phoenix as a school bus driver, serving children with special needs for the past 13 years but have a total of 20 years of experience working with children with special needs. I cannot describe how fulfilling it was being around the children. Each trip was fulfilled with much laughter, songs and love but above all their safety. These children were not special because of their disability, they were special because of the joy each and everyone brought to me. I didn't see their differences but only their similarities, not their challenges but their triumphs. I've also provided private care for other children and can furnish references upon request. I'm still a bus driver here in NY and in search of something during my downtime which is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or afternoons from 4:30 until needed.
