I have 40 + years of experience when you include my homeschooling all 7 of my children as well as being a nanny for the last 7 years. I enjoy helping children develop their sense of worth and accomplishment by encouraging them to take pride in caring for their toys, room, and showing appreciation and consideration for others. I also like doing crafts with them to develop their creativity, music to express themselves and to use music as a learning tool. Reading to them or encouraging them to read expressively to me is also a great way to engage them in a positive activity. I have taught choir to children from K-12th grade and that has been a wonderful opportunity to experience working with children with widely different backgrounds as well as abilities. During the pandemic of 2021, I monitored the schooling of two 3rd. graders and helped them grasp challenging math and English concepts. I enjoy working with kids! I also have experience teaching children from other cultures.

Miss Debbie is just the most wonderful caregiver! She was with our family for four years, caring for our two children and dog(s) after school most week days. Our children grew from age 8 to age 12, and from age 5 to age 9, while Miss Debbie worked with us. For the 2020-2021 school year, we chose to have our children learn remotely through our school district. Miss Debbie was at our home for three full days each week, monitoring the education of three children (ours and a close friend) throughout this year, all while we continued working remotely from other areas of the house. We don't know what we would have done without her loving care during that time! Miss Debbie is creative, engaging, playful, and loving. She is always on time, very dependable, and was willing to help with other household tasks (e.g., preparing for dinner). Our kids still invite her to their sport events, dance recitals, and theater productions. She will always be a part of our family!
