Hi, I am new to Care. com and I am excited! I did my babysitting before I started driving a school bus and working with special needs children in the classroom. When I was babysitting, I took care of three little boys, they were 8 months old and I was with them until they were 3, when they moved away. This was a full time position, I was there before mom went to work until mom came home in the evening. As a bus driver, I took an interest in all my students. We would talk about their interests, about what happened at school or what activity was coming up. Sometimes I would help the little ones learn songs or nursery rhymes. In the classroom, the teacher and I would teach daily life skills such as: learning numbers, letters, colors, days of the week, how to use a spoon and fork, personal and oral hygiene. We sang songs, read stories, did craft projects and took walks. I am honest, dependable, and patient. I have enjoyed helping and being a part of many children's lives.
