I am retired from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools. I've been married for 38 years and have three children and two grandchildren. At age 65 I am very active and energetic and enjoy meeting new people. My work experience includes retail employment, three years with a General Building Contractor as a Safety Director, part time preschool teacher and 20 years as a teaching assistant with regular education and special education students. I was trained in Diabetic Care while working one-on-one with a public school student and had professional and on the job training to work with autistic students. My service and volunteer experience includes leading a church youth group and teaching a Sunday school class, nursing home/assisted living visitation, served as a lay therapist with SCAN-Stop Child Abuse Now in Winston-Salem and public school volunteer programs. I also completed 55 hours of college credits for the teaching assistant position I held for 20 years.
