I have no paid experience taking care of seniors, but I have experience taking care of my mother, my sister and my husband. My mother had uterine cancer and was a diabetic. She was often in the hospital and I spent time helping her while she was sick. My sister was Bi-polar and had COPD. She lived with me for a while and I took care of her several times after she was in and out of the hospital. My husband had a brain tumor which was incurable and he had surgery and spent time in rehabilitation but was mostly home. He got to the point where he could not do a whole lot for himself, so of course, I did it for him. This did include taking him to chemo and radiation until it was no longer a viable option. I am 69 years old myself, but I am in pretty good health for my age. I am a 23 year cancer survivor and had a mild heart attack after my husband's death, but no problems since that 11 years ago and I didn't have to have any surgery at that time. So I am in good shape and ready to go!!
