About Dawn

I became a full-time nanny in February 1987. Since then, I've been with 5 full-time, long-term families and three temporary/short-term families. I come from a family of educators and have always had a passion for working with children. I love watching as each child grows & changes. I like to watch as their own unique styles and personalities develop and watch them as they reach each milestone at their own pace. For me, it's fun to be able to help guide them as they travel through all of their various stages of development. I enjoy helping children learn new skills and concepts by creating fun and interesting play that best suits each child and their own distinct and unique style of learning. I like to always encourage them to try figuring things out on their own first before asking for help, especially if they think that it is something that they can't do. Seeing the smile on their faces and the sense of pride they feel once they've mastered something new is one of the biggest reasons why I love being a nanny.
