About Daphne

I offer quality time with seniors and children (and pets too!), whether to take walks, attend cultural events, play games, run errands, or simply sit and listen. Having been raised on a horse farm in Michigan, I have a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. I earned my B. A. from Notre Dame and M. A. in international studies from De Paul, and worked full-time in nonprofit communications in Chicago for 35+ years. I've traveled throughout the world for both work and fun, including dozens of trips to France to visit relatives. In 2020-21, I cared for my mom 24/7 while she was in an assisted living facility. In that time, I witnessed how active and engaged her fellow seniors were -- often, if only given the opportunity. This meaningful experience led me to becoming a senior caregiver/companion. It has been a joy to connect with seniors and also help give family members peace of mind in knowing their loved one is receiving quality attention and friendship.
