About Danka

I worked as a paraprofessional in New Haven for 3 years and started out with them volunteering since I was in high-school. Previous occupations include teaching assisting and childcare for children ages 2-13 years. Attend to the basic needs of children while helping to foster early development. Helping younger children prepare for first grade and assist with schoolwork and teach them developmental, language and critical thinking skills. Supervising and monitoring safety at all times, preparing and organizing meal times and snacks, keeping up with personal hygiene, diaper changing for infant/toddlers, organizing activities/ implementing curriculum, develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity/rest/playtime, watching for signs of emotional developmental issues, and keeping records of child's progress/routines/interests. Personal skills include patience, compassion, organization, creativity, communication, speaking Spanish fluently and being trustworthy.
