About Danielle

I have over a year of experience with middle school students at a non-profit called Global Kids. I am a Haitian-Dominican making conceptual art as an Integrated Media MFA student at Hunter College and a yoga teacher approaching a PhD in Rehab Science. I teach aspects of social science with data gathering and absent art through a broad range of media and creative activity based in a Haitian principal of heating to heal. I support social emotional learning, where discomfort and uncertainty is an opportunity to study about the world, and to say something new. Discussions I lead are from prompts mutually facilitated by students, as we bring our ancestral wisdom to any space, to nurture our curiosity about a creative research perspective. I inspire the cultivation of some critical expressive practice, open to interpretation! I support passionate academic pursuits and encourage further mentorship.
