About Damaris

I currently live in Longmont in the area. I moved here from Iowa over 10 years ago and I absolutely love it here in Colorado. I love being outdoors and traveling as much as possible. I was born in Guatemala and speak Spanish fluently and I am definitely willing to speak it with the children. I have my Bachelors in Psychology, and have my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I have worked with children is both childcare and public school settings. The past 5 years I have worked as a bilingual Pre-K sped teacher I. Boulder. I have experience with children ages 0-5 and have worked with different teaching philosophies. I have experience planning engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities, creating appropriate boundaries, routines, and expectations. My experience in the school system doing evaluations has strengthened my abilities in knowing developmental milestones and helping children reach them.
