I begun working as a care provider with people who had Developmental Disabilities and as a part time care of elderly with Parkinson disease for three years. When I lose my patient I did full time care giving elderly with Dementia. My main duties taking good care of them, taking care of their dental needs, hair, finger nails and toe nails. Giving them baths, helping to choose what to wear plus other personal needs. Cooking them healthy foods also that they took their medications. Also, it was very important to be a genuinely good listener. After caring for these people over a long period of time, a bond developed and a strong friendship was formed.
