I have 8 years of experience working with people with disabilities and 3. 5 years of experience working with children. For those 3. 5 years I specialized in working with kids with Autism as a Registered Behavior Technician. During this time, I helped a 6-year-old boy spontaneously speak his first verbal sentence and was also extensively trained in working with the PECS system. In the previous 5 years I was a respite care provider where I worked with individuals who had Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Severe Autism, and Seizure disorders. I also have my bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies and completed my internship underneath a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. I am very competent when it comes to working with behavior. My goals as a caregiver would be to: 1. Build strong rapport and trust with your child. 2. Always be looking for new learning and growth opportunities within our natural environment.
