We hired Colleen as our son’s nanny when he was only 3 months old. Since no one from our families could come to help during the postpartum period, it was a real challenge to deal with an infant.. hence, the support we got from Colleen was really great. She is always smiling and a positive person to be around. Over the past several months she has become an important person in my son’s life. She has taught so many new things to him that I sometimes feel amazed when I think about it. Everyday our son looks forward to the time when she arrives, and he can start playing with her - this, by itself, is a huge plus for me. There are several things we learned from Colleen, regarding what to do (and also, what not to do) while bringing up a kid. She has been very proactive in introducing new things to our son.. my son is now 11 months old and he has already taken a keen interest in checking out all his story books everyday, which would never have been possible without the patience Colleen has shown while reading several books to him since he was only 3 months old. We would miss her once our son starts attending daycare, But at the same time I will cherish all the memories we have made while Colleen was around. :-)
