About Clarissa

Hi parents! I'm on my own parental leave until summer 2024 and won't be responding to messages before then. I started teaching in 2009 and started nannying in 2015. I'm also a certified postpartum doula and have training in infant CPR & first aid for all ages. My favorite ages to work with are late-elementary to middle schoolers and infants/toddlers between 6-24 months. My education background is in psychology and sociology. Personality-wise, I'm funny, forthright, and compassionate. I'm an excellent communicator & problem solver. I have sincere sympathy for the difficulties of growing up. Kids tend to like me because I love to go outside, I always tell the truth, I give good hugs, I help them do hard things, and I have an animated face. The type of family I enjoy working with has a lot of love in their house, strong communication skills, likes to solve problems collaboratively, and will let me know if I have food in my hair at the end of the day.
