About Christie

I have over 30 years of experience with children. I started babysitting when I was 11, and have worked with kids of all ages ever since. Years ago, I worked in an infant toddler center, which is where I met my husband. I then quit to be home with our children. I used my experience in early childhood to run the nursery and preschool wing at our church in the first few years of marriage. I have been homeschooling our nine children for the past 24 years. Six of our kiddos are now grown, and we have a 16-year-old, 11, and 9-year-old. We also have 5 grandkids and 1 on the way. I enjoy all ages, and truly delight in the different stages of life from infancy to young adulthood. Being a stay at home for many years, I am certainly able to help with cooking and light housekeeping. I do prefer to just spend time with kiddos though, engaging and playing with toys, games, coloring, or whatever they like to do.
