About Charissa

I have a wide range of experience working with children! I have a Masters of Education from Bank Street College of Education in NYC and then worked for many years in different schools, museums, and other cultural institutions with all ages. I also worked at a summer camp for two summers in New Hampshire. When I moved to Pittsburgh, I worked at a preschool in the North Hills before moving to Washington County to start my own farm! I currently raise chickens, ducks, rabbits, and grow flowers. I'd describe my personality as fun, goofy, and curious. I like working with kids because they are so much fun and have such a curiosity about life! I enjoy exploring the world (large and small) with them, whether that be digging in the dirt or talking through tough topics. In my spare time, I like to play Animal Crossing, quilt, read, and spend time with my puppy, cats, and farm animals! My skills include supporting neurodivergent kids, talking through conflict, and being creative.
