Providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. Providing technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit. Assists staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. Patient Care activities include vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Responding to patient calls, entering patient charges in the computer system, maintaining patient charts, unit files and being responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
