I've been a nanny for almost 8 years now. I started with a 7-year-old and than her mom got pregnant with her brother, who I started taking care of when he was 6 months. He is now 5 years old and his sister is 14. My duties when he was 6 months old would be walks to the park, feeding, diaper changing, reading, potty training, playing with toys, light house cleaning, laundry, dishes, taking him to swim class or play dates, sick care, picking children up from school and take them home, bath time, dinner, coaching them through their emotions. I've been his nanny for 5 years. He is 6 now and in kindergarten. We go to the playground, do homework, we love to play soccer, swim and do arts and craft projects. Creating a safe environment for the child to be comfortable with expressing themselves. Making children feel safe and not feel like they will be reprimanded if they do something wrong. My job is to be empathetic and coach them there feelings.
