I am interested in providing quality home health care to the Special Needs population in Lexington and the surrounding counties. I have also recently worked for Neuro-Restorative in Georgetown as a Life Skills trainer, which involves providing home health care to patients with brain and spinal cord injuries. The diagnoses I have assisted with include mild to severe retardation, autism, Asperger's disease, obesity, Type 2 diabetes, stroke, dementia, and depression. I have responded to seizures by timing the seizure and ensuring the pt.'s safety. I have assisted with suicide watch by ensuring the pt. did not have access to sharps, rope, or inhalants. I have assisted patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, and laundry. Additionally, I have assisted with applying splints, tet hose, bandages, and splints.
