About Catherine

I aim to use patience & empathy to create a welcoming & affirming environment so children & teens can feel at ease & able to learn. Over the past 25 years, I have worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings including public, private, & home schools as well as assorted enrichment classes & youth groups. I have a Masters & have significant coursework & training in child development & education. I also have personal experience with public school 504 plans & IEPs, which translates into a strong familiarity with accommodations. In addition to providing academic support, I can work with your family to develop support for study skills & executive functions. When I'm not driving children to the soccer field or ordering pizza for ravenous teenagers, I can be found reading a cozy mystery, making music, or getting out into nature.
