Hi! My name is Casey and I have a huge passion for working with children! I have been in the childcare field 11 years and have loved every minute of it! I have nannied for 5 different families and have babysat on and off for many as well. During my time as a nanny I also gained experience with house manager tasks. These include scheduling appointments, light housekeeping, meal preparation, care for pets, and transportation. Along with this, I have extensive experience in the General Education and Special Education fields. I graduated from Hope College with a degree in psychology. I have had many field placements and internships throughout my college career that range from teacher's aid in a preschool and kindergarten class to special education intern in a preschool ASD room and a middle school resource room. I am currently a dance teacher with Arlington Dance Academy, where I spend each week teaching ballet and creative dance. I love to work with children of all ages and abilities.

We interviewed and hired, well attempted to hire Casey to help with our son. We met in person, made an offer and it was accepted. She needed to give two weeks’ notice at her last employer, which wasn’t ideal for us but knew it was the right thing for another family. My wife and I used vacation to cover the gap. We reached out to her the Friday before her start date and had been unable to reach her via phone, text, or email. Ghosted, even after my messages asked for any response even if it wasn’t the news we wanted. We are now left missing work; in some cases, our child is missing school and the other candidates we liked found other positions. We wasted 2 weeks waiting for her to just blow us off. We are now left scrambling with no coverage for our son.
