About Carolyn

I'd describe my personality as patient, compassionate, fun-loving, and respectful. I like tutoring because it allows creativity in tailoring lessons to the individual child, and I love seeing a student become engaged with learning materials. This will be my first time tutoring through Care, but I have 3 years of classroom experience and ran lunch and after school tutoring programs for middle school and elementary school aged children. In my spare time, I like to read, write, watch movies, take architectural photos, and spend time with my friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I have 10 years experience working with children and an M. Ed with certifications in ELA and SEI. I am happy to work with you and your child to ensure they are getting the most out of my services! My skills include foundational reading and writing, essays, reading comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, research, editing, critical thinking, and all social studies related content.
