I'm a 28-year-old former Au pair from Brazil living in Abingdon, MD, willing to help families in the area. I was an Au Pair in Baltimore, MD from Summer 2022 to Summer 2023, where I had the privilege to look after two wonderful kids, a 6-7-year-old at the time (girl), and a 9-10-year-old at the time (boy). As an au pair, I was a part of the household and a full-time live-in caretaker. The girl under my supervision had a severe seizure disorder called Dravet's Syndrome, which causes developmental and cognitive delays on top of epileptic episodes. Due to her special needs, I was also responsible for handling seizures, administering daily and emergency medication, supervising her diet and behavioral changes, assisting with toileting, bathing, doing laundry for both kids, picking her up from school, supervising schoolwork, and academic development. Her brother required less supervision, but I also supervised his academics and we had a great time playing together.
