About Carmen

I've always been good with kids. When I was younger, I would babysit my cousins and entertain them. I've always had a knack at creating games and activities to keep kids busy. When I got older, I babysat for family members and friends. I've taken care of my 3-year-old niece on many occasions during the day. I was in charge of keeping her entertained and made her lunch. We loved going to the park and singing Let It Go on the swing. Professionally, I worked for the Richmond YMCA for two years. I taught music, dance, and drama to kids ages 4-14. There I learned basic first aid and how to care for children of a wide age range. When I wasn't teaching, I was monitoring different groups of kids. I loved the relationships I made with kids there, and it reaffirmed my love for teaching and my love for working with children.
