About Carla

Hello, I'm Carla and I have been working in the education field for over 10 years. I spent nearly 4 years at a daycare center, working with children ranging from newborns to3-year-olds. Seeking a change, I took up a position at the Chicago public schools, where I have been working since 2016. During my first year, I was in a pre-K classroom, and the following year, I transitioned to pre-K special education, working with 3-5-year-olds with severe to profound disabilities. After five years, I wanted to expand my knowledge, so I requested to work in a blended classroom, and this past school year, I had the opportunity to work with Kindergarten.
