About Carissa

Hello, My name is Carissa and I have over 15 years of experience working with children. Currently, I am working on obtaining my elementary school credential at CSULB. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, and infant/toddler development from Cal State Fullerton University and my associates degree in Child Development. I am truly passionate about my field. I have experience in the preschool and kindergarten settings though, I do enjoy to work with children of all ages. I have experience in curriculum design that promotes learning through play and advancement of essential life skills. I strongly believe children learn best through proper modeling behaviors, playing, singing, and I greatly enjoy reading to children. I have references from a recent family I've worked with. I also work freelance as a face painter for events. This was a business I started myself to get through college.
