About Cara

Hi, I am a caring, responsible, educated and positive professional who is passionate about creating environments for children and families to thrive. I recently graduated with my masters in Child Studies at Vanderbilt University with a concentration in Pediatric Healthcare and Severe Disabilities. I graduated from SDSU with a B. S. in Child Development in May 2020. I currently work as full time Child Life Specialist in a pediatric hospital. I am CPR certified (infant/toddler/adult) and first aid trained. I have experience in a vast range of settings with children: nannying, preschool teaching, pediatric hospitals, therapeutic horseback riding, Autism Spectrum Disorder in clinical/transition/school-based settings, and elementary education. My ultimate goal is to help children and families be set up for success and provide support to help them achieve that in any and all settings I work in. I am currently only able to accept occasional sitting jobs!
