About Bridget

Hello! My name is Bridget and I'm a senior at Western Michigan University majoring in Elementary Education K-6. My experience with tutoring is that I was an pre-intern for a kindergarten class last spring semester. A part of my role as an pre-intern is doing one on one lessons with the students, composing lesson plans that meet student needs, delivering whole class lessons, and daily small group work with various students. I also have experience with working directly with a tutoring program WMU provides at Sangren Hall. The program is at McGinnis Reading Center and Clinic, where students who are learning to be a teacher provide one on one lessons with students based on their reading and writing needs. My goal as a future educator is to provide the best quality care and education for students based on state standards, their needs, and what I can do to help them engage in learning!
