Although I do not have much paid experience working with special needs individuals, I have done a lot of work with them. Growing up my best friends younger brother was born with a hole in his heart, causing him to have multiple developmental delays. I got to witness first hand through helping her babysit just how much work goes into caring for these wonderful individuals. My personal work was tutoring a young boy who was dyslexic and has ADHD, and it was a completely different experience than tutoring a regular student as I had to come up with a detailed study plan and homework for them. I just know from my work and my personal experience that it takes the love of a village to help out those who have disabilities and I would love to help in any way I can.
