About Billy

Hi team. Hope all is well. My name is Bilal J but everyone calls me Billy. I just turned 30 years old and have spent my time since grad school as a screenwriter, copywriter, editor, director, digital strategist, creative consultant, and entrepreneur. Due to the pandemic I'm moving home to my parents place for a month or two until my girlfriend completes her board exams (she's an internal medicine attending at NYU Langone), at which point we'll return to Brooklyn. In the meantime I'd like to generate some income doing what I love. Creative expression for both youths and adults. I enjoy teaching as I have been a writing and essay tutor in the past and I love kids. My time as a camp counselor at Driftwood Day Camp were some of my best summers . As a writer and researcher, I'm well versed on a variety of topics. I am a student of life and can find wonder in just about anything. I use that energy to stay positive help keep my students hopeful and motivated.
