When I was offered a full-time position at the library, Tina graciously agreed to be our nanny. It was a huge blessing for our family! Not only was she reasonably priced, but she genuinely cared for all of my children, even the ones she didn’t see much because they were in school. She always arrived promptly and eager to spend time with my little ones. I believe that she went above and beyond what was expected and requested of her. Not only did she transport my son to and from preschool, but she would take him to the library to attend storytime and have a short visit with me. She always kept me updated on what was happening each day, and documented and shared photos of their outings and cute things my son had done. It helped me deal with the mom-guilt that I had for going to work before he started kindergarten. She also helped my school aged children with their homework when they got home and made sure they did the things they were supposed to do when they got home from school. At times, she adjusted her schedule to help us out with tricky transportation issues, and even cared for our dog. There was a genuine bond and love that developed over the years of her being our nanny. We became more like family than anything else. Our family was deeply saddened when she needed to move away, but we will forever be grateful for her, her love and compassion, and the time she spent with us. I could not have picked a better person to care for my children. You will not find anyone as loving and nurturing as Tina.
