About Barbara-katherine

I have over 3 years of experience as a teacher working with children age 3 to 15 years. I currently work at a Montessori school with infants age 6 months to 12 months. I have 3 younger siblings (twins brothers now age 5, and a younger sister age 8) that I was a primary caregiver for before they started school as both their parents work full time. I have coached middle school girls volleyball, I tutored all through high school (I went to boarding school), and even was a sailing instructor for a summer. I studied psychology at USC -- where I graduated magna cum laude. I have over 15 units of college level classes in early childhood education and child development. I am certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. More importantly than all of that though is the fact that I really enjoy working with children, and kids tend to really enjoy being in my care. I am warm, attentive, and playful with children, and with parents I am organized, communicative, and considerate.
