Im 19 and recently completed a certification for a Pregnancy and Birth Practitioner. This training taught me about the basics of birth and postpartum and how to best support families during this time. It is nothing medical, but all emotional and physical support when needed. I have been a part time nanny for a little boy starting at 4m-2y. I've also been working with a family who have a 5-year-old and 1-year-old. I helped with the transition of two littles, offering mom the chance to rest/spend 1:1 time with baby. Ideally I would love to use my newly learned postpartum care and would love to support a family in that way. I envision myself being nighttime help, so whether that's allowing parents to sleep and being a night nanny, or coming later in the afternoon and helping parents with newborn care expectations, getting a shower, or some rest before the night. I can also help with laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, and simple household pickup.
