About Avery

Hello! My name is Avery. Throughout high school, I was a full-time day nanny for 2 families. From 9th-10th grade, I nannied 3 girls ages 4, 1. 5 and a new born. My main responsibilities besides childcare included crafts, school work, cooking, light house cleaning, bathing, and bed time. When I moved to Texas, I started nannying for 2 twin boys (age 5). I was in charge of home school when Covid hit. Each day, we spent an extra 30 minutes in workbooks resulting in one of the boys excelling 2 grades in math, and the other, 2 grades in reading. Teaching is one of my passions and something I always include when working with kids. I believe knowledge is acquired in school and in life by guidance, curiosity and fun! Therefore, I made it another top priority to go on field trips with the kids. These field trips included nature walks, library visits, sports games, and trips to the pool. I adore children and believe they are all unique and should be loved and cared for with the utmost respect.
