Hello! I'm a very experienced and patient nanny living in Centerville. I've taken care of little ones for many years. I'm firm but loving and find humor can be very useful! I'm 55 and am looking for a position where I can really put my years of experience to use. I cook and light housekeeping/laundry is fine. I'm fine with bedtime, bath time, and what ever else is part of their normal routine. Love walks, crafts, cooking with them, and lots of lessons snuck in to the fun. I have a car and excellent driving record. Love pets and have several of my own! Personal/professional references. In lieu of college, I was raising /homeschooling my daughter, so combined with my work, have more than 40 years of child care experience. I look to hearing from you and meeting your little ones! I'll make your babies laugh and keep them safe. I'm looking for 3 days a week, 25 hours- but I can definitely be flexible, if needed. Would love to hear from you and see if I would be a good fit. Astrid has worked for our family for the last 1.5 years, quickly becoming my daughter's best friend and my right-hand woman. Astrid is that rare "Mary Poppins" who on her first day, won over our then one-year old's heart. When Astrid is here, our daughter is fully immersed in Astrid's magical world fun, learning, and joy. My daughter loves her like family, and Astrid treats her like her own. She has taught her so much, helped to potty train, encouraged her love for animals, art, and imaginative play. When our daughter turned two, Astrid helped to teach her a "preparing for kindergarten" curriculum. She adapted the lessons appropriately for her age and abilities, kept them fun and accessible. Astrid is proactive and excellent in helping with things around the house and is so knowledgeable about everything child and home related. My only complaint is that Astrid won't move with us to New York City. We are absolutely heartbroken to have to leave. I would hire her a million times again.
