About Astrid

Hi! My name is Astrid, and I am a current student at Haverford College, studying Psychology, East Asian studies, and Education. I was born in America, but raised in Shanghai, China from the age of 8 to 18. As a tutor, I specifically help older students with college essays, AP or IB highschool exams, or younger students with language-based skills and educational practices with learning. I love learning, and I simply want others to love it as much as I do - or at least find aspects of it that they can love. I have experience babysitting children aged 5 to 14. I am CPR certified and am qualified to handle mental health issues with youth. I like to meet children and parents if possible before babysitting, in order to get to know expectations, responsibilities, and ensure both parties are comfortable. I was trained by a Shanghai-based cleaning company, and adjust housekeeping depending on employer needs. Looking forward to getting to know you!
