Currently I work within the healthcare field as an occupational therapy assistant, assisting the geriatric population in maintaining their independence. Prior to my current career I was a full-time nanny caring for children ranging from 2 years old to 12. I recently became a mother myself; my son is currently 4 months of age. I am looking to transition from my current healthcare position and back to nannying. The most rewarding aspect of childcare for me is creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. With my occupational therapy background, I enjoy being creative in helping children build both physical and social skills through play.

Ashley worked with my then 4 year old daughter for a year as a full time nanny. She came to us with limited experience but learned the ropes quickly and my daughter loved her. She was also wonderful about taking and incorporating feedback and our wishes. Her best characteristic was her poise - I knew no situation would phase her. She often played and made up all kinds of games with my daughter and taught her many things including math and reading. She also prepared great meals and baked with my daughter. I trusted her completely and consider her a very special friend of the family. We will miss her tremendously as she goes back to school. I can't say enough about her and would be happy to serve as a reference.
