I started out in the healthcare field at the age of 16. I have certifications in client rights, dealing with challenging behaviors, First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety, and OSHA standard precautions. I have worked my way from a dietary aide to a skilled nursing assistant. I graduated from Blackhawk Technical College August 2, 2007. I realized that I wanted to branch out from traditional caregiving into much more hands-on care. I learned how to administer medications and observe a client's health conditions. I have always put myself in the client's shoes. I continue to be an CNA, because I can honestly say that I love my career and all of the wonderful individuals I meet!
