About Arlenn

Hi! My name is Arlenn and I am 25 years old in Fresno, CA. I am currently in graduate school to become a school counselor at FPU. Background/Education: I am a Mexican American born and raised in the Bay Area. I do speak English and Spanish fluently. After graduating in 2020 from my undergraduate, I joined City Year AmeriCorps and assisted two 9th-grade Math classes at a San Jose high school throughout the 2020-21 academic year. In the 2021-22 school year, I taught Math to 8th and 9th graders in the Oakland Unified School District. Following a move to Fresno in the summer of 2022, I worked as a Behavior Technician with children diagnosed with Autism. However, due to starting school again and immediately having to intern, I had to leave the job. During the 2022-23 academic year, I worked as a substitute teacher for Selma, Fresno, and Clovis Unified. In the first half of this summer, I taught 3rd-grade summer school at Vinland Elementary.
